Frustrating for any working woman, it can take more than a few good connections and an even greater amount of luck to land a dream job — like securing a spot in a runway show. That’s why fashion designer Stine Goya is using Bumble to create one of the most inclusive runways Copenhagen has ever seen.
The award-winning designer, recently in the headlines for dressing Michelle Obama during her European tour, is inviting Bumble users to apply to walk in her Spring Summer 2020 runway show through the app. Her team aims to democratize access to the fashion industry, challenging the status quo of beauty and diversity on and off the runway.
“In opening our SS20 casting to Bumble users, we hope to encourage women to challenge both industry stereotypes and themselves and feel empowered to feel a true sense of belonging in this industry by seeing themselves on the runway, ” Goya says.
You can apply for the opportunity via Bumble Bizz, where you’ll be asked to fill out a short questionnaire on what diversity and empowerment in the fashion industry means to you.
Up to five winners will be treated to a full fashion week experience from Stine Goya, including not only walking on the runway at the SS20 show on August 8th, but a visit to the showroom in Copenhagen and a complete outfit from the brand.
Applications go live on July 16th in the UK, Germany, Netherlands, France, Spain, Sweden, and Denmark. Apply by July 23rd for your moment in the spotlight. And keep your schedule clear, because those who win must be available on August 6th, August 7th, and August 8th.
