Bumble Suits Up with Smart Works to Help Women Dress to Impress
Bumble was created to empower women to make the first move in all areas of their lives, including their career. But what if some of us don’t know where to start? To give women a boost in business, we’re teaming up with Smart Works, a UK charity that provides clothing and training for unemployed women in need.
Smart Works uses the power of clothes and confidence to make a woman feel her best and to help her succeed in job interviews. The charity has already supported over 13,000 women in their seven centers across the UK, with 64% of women landing a job within a month. Half of Smart Works’ clients are from an ethnic minority, or have been unemployed for a long term.
Our year-long partnership is not just to help transform a woman’s life, but the life of her family, too. We’ll be fundraising and hosting Bumble Bizz education events for the charity’s clients to help spread the Smart Works name and its 7 centres across the UK. Our Female Film Force initiative will produce an original film for the charity later this year. (So stay tuned!)
To kick-off our collaboration, Bumble will be donating 40p to Smart Works for every match made in the app on May 1st, 2019. To make a donation, simply swipe and match with our Smart Works profile card within Bumble. By making a move in your own life, you’ll also be empowering other women to make moves in their lives, too.
Ready to make a move? Hop into Bumble now and match with our Smart Works profile!
