We’ve Created More Ways to Help You Find Love on Bumble with Discover, ID Verification, Share Date, and More

bumble id verfication

At Bumble, we want to make your dating experience feel meaningful, intentional, and where possible, safer. So we’ve added a selection of dating features: Discover, ID Verification, Share Date, and Review Before Send, to help you find more compatible connections—and to date safely, too.

Finding like-minded people who share your interests is important—we know this because 91% of Gen-Z respondents told us in our latest survey.* Our Discover feature is all about putting the most compatible profiles front and center, showing you more people who care what you care about and want what you want.

Alongside our compatibility features, we’re doubling down on our commitment to safety. In our survey, nearly 3 in 4 of you said that feeling secure is crucial to your choice of dating app.* With that in mind, we’re introducing ID Verification, Share Date, and expanding on Review Before You Send, to give you more control and to make things safer.

Find your most compatible people

According to our research, 66% of women we surveyed in the U.S. like to make sure they have shared interests, goals, values, and lifestyle choices before deciding whether to go on that first date.** Discover is a personalized feature designed to help you create those meaningful connections right from the start.

Every day, you’ll be shown your most compatible people based on similar interests, dating intentions, and communities. And, by adding to and updating your preferred Interest Badges, selecting your dating intentions, and completing your profile, your Discover page will continue to show more profiles we think you’ll hit it off with.

Safety first, always

We’re always looking for new ways to help you stay safe when you date. So with ID Verification, you can upload a government-issued ID and get a badge on your profile. This lets others know you’ve confirmed your identity—plus, you can ask your match to do it too, so you know they’re the real deal.

Verification matters because our studies show that 80% of Gen-Z daters surveyed prefer to meet up with people who have verified profiles, and having that verification can lead to more matches.* Right now, ID Verification is available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, the UK and the US, with plans to expand further.

We’re also introducing Share Date. It lets you send the details of your meetups to trusted contacts, so they know where you are and who you’re with. You can update these details in real-time, right from the Bumble app—useful if your plans change.

Knowing that 67% of people we recently surveyed already share their date details with friends, we thought we’d make it simpler to do so.* On Bumble, it’s never just about finding connections—it’s about feeling safe, secure, and happy as you do.

Make kind connections

You deserve positive, kind interactions, so we’ve enhanced our Review Before You Send feature. Originally introduced for Compliments, it can now help you out on chat messages, too. If you’re about to send a message that doesn’t meet our guidelines, we’ll give you a chance to reconsider and edit it. During our tests, about 40% of people chose to alter their messages after getting an alert. We believe in fostering a respectful dating environment and by expanding this feature, we’re reinforcing our commitment to maintaining a safe and positive space for everyone.

All these features are free and are designed to make your Bumble experience feel not just more personalized, but more aligned with what you’re looking for. Because dating should be enjoyable and respectful.
