Bumble Introduces Sober Badge as Daters’ Drinking Habits Change
If your relationship with alcohol has changed over the past year, you’re not alone. In a recent survey, Bumble found that of those who drink, 39% identify as ‘sober curious’ — that is, they’d like to think more consciously about their decision to drink alcohol, or are currently making efforts to reduce their alcohol consumption.
At Bumble, we’re dedicated to ensuring our platform is as inclusive and supportive as possible for our community, including those who are sober or evaluating their relationship with alcohol. To celebrate our sober members—and to give them the right tools to highlight their full, genuine selves to potential matches—we’ve launched a Sober Badge within the Bumble app.
To add a Sober Badge to your Bumble profile, tap the grey silhouette on the bottom-left corner of your screen, and then click on “Complete my profile” under your picture to edit your profile. Underneath your Basic Info, you’ll see all of our badges. Scroll down to “Drinking,” and select the “Sober” option.
You should feel empowered to be your whole, authentic self on Bumble. Now, carry on dating with confidence! And if you’re looking for tips on alcohol-free dating, read on.
