At Bumble, we want you as our community members to feel empowered to share your whole, authentic selves, including your core values. We understand the importance of finding new connections—both romantic and platonic—who share those values, especially at a precarious time.
That’s not to say you shouldn’t approach each potential match with an open mind, but you should be clear about your non-negotiables. For many folks from marginalized groups especially, this is not just a preference; it’s a matter of feeling secure and seen.
Bumble has launched a Reproductive Rights profile badge within Bumble Date and Bumble BFF. This comes on the heels of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to allow for the introduction of abortion bans at the state level, putting reproductive rights at risk in twenty-six states as of July 2022.
This newest badge is one of a number of values-based options for your Bumble profile. Existing badges include: Black Lives Matter, Environmentalism, Feminism, Human rights, LGBTQIA+ ally, Stop Asian Hate, Trans ally, and Voter rights.
In Date, you’ll find the Reproductive Rights badge under “My interests,” then “Bumble values & allyship.” In BFF, it’s under “My interests,” then “Social allyship & activism.”
