Why can I only make a purchase with Google Play if I have an Android device?

You may have observed some changes on your Bumble app regarding payment options if you use an Android device.

The new Google Payment Policy means members who use Android devices are now only able to purchase our services via Google Play using the payment methods linked to their Google accounts.

For you, this means that Bumble purchases made through the app must be done via Google Play. If you still wish to pay via credit card or PayPal, you now need to link them to your Google account first to do this.

If you already have an existing Bumble subscription, you will still be able to pay it with your previous payment method. However, if the renewal is cancelled, the new rule applies to future in-app purchases.

If you would like to pay with a credit card or PayPal without linking them with your Google account, you should use Bumble Web instead.
