Bumble’s 2025 Global dating Trends

  • MICRO-MANCE
Move over grand gestures, the majority (88%) of US women agree that how we show love and affection now includes smaller behaviors like sending memes, a playlist, or sharing inside jokes.
  • DWM (DATE WITH ME)
From dating GRWMs to post-date debriefs, dating has become our new favorite reality show. Half (50%) of women in the US are celebrating more authentic dating content that shares the highs and the lows.
  • ON THE SAME (FAN) PAGE
The rise of micro-communities (book clubs and run clubs), fandom (hello Taylor and Charli), and niche interests are changing how we date, with half (49%) of Gen Z singles agreeing that geeking out on something together is a form of intimacy.
  • MALE-CASTING
Men in finance, the return of the hunk, the rise of rodent men... male archetypes have exploded in pop culture. But are they helpful or a hindrance in dating? Much like the experience of women, 1 in 3 (31%) men in the US say these tropes can create false assumptions about their character and intentions.
  • FUTURE-PROOFING
Uncertainty about the future is impacting who we are and how we date. For a majority (59%) of women this means placing more value on stability - a partner who is emotionally consistent, reliable and has clear goals.
  • GUYS THAT GET IT
There’s an unstoppable new force in dating, the rise of the guy best friend. Women in the US are now looking to the men in their lives to filter potential dates, with a majority (57%) relying on their men friends to help explain men’s dating behavior. Spoiler alert: sometimes there isn’t one.
